Topsil is providing two types of high resistivity silicon products:

High Resistivity Silicon (HiRes™)

• HiRes™ series in n-type and p-type. The resistivity starts at 8,000 ohm-cm, and is characterized by good resistivity control.

HiRes™ is available in diameters up to 150 mm.
Typical applications for the different products are:

• HiRes™ has been developed for use in high frequency communication.
• NTD-4000 is for scientific detectors with a good two-dimensional resolution.

Neutron Doped High Resistivity Silicon

• NTD-4000 silicon is characterized by its low radial resistivity variation. This product is available up to 4,000 omh-cm.

In terms of cost, these products are very attractive compared to standard solutions such as SOI wafers, compound semiconductor wafers and other microwave and detector substrates.
