Premium Float Zone (PFZ) monocrystalline silicon is grown by adding dopants in the growth chamber during the pulling of the crystals. Also, the PFZ growth process itself has been stabilized so that thermal fluctuations and flow patterns can be controlled. Therefore, PFZ silicon has the lowest resistivity variations of the in-situ doped FZ products and is widely used in power components. |
