
Topsil high transmission (HiTran™) silicon targets
high quality IR applications and instrumentation. Due to its high
purity, it has unique transmission performance across most of
the infrared band, including the far infrared region.
Transmission starts at 1.2 μm. Up to 7.0 μm there are no bulk
properties limiting the transmission.
Typical infrared applications that
will benefit from using Topsil HiTran™ silicon are
thermal imaging systems, including multicolour infrared systems,
silicon prisms, gratings, grisms, lenses and blanks, silicon
fresnel lenses, passive infrared detector filters, transmission
windows for debris protection, micromachined infrared devices, and
silicon micro bolometers.
Topsil high transmission silicon is based on float zone technology
and available in diameters up to 200mm.
