The answer is no – at least not monocrystalline silicon like what we produce at Topsil – but perhaps it is advantageous to 3D print some of the mechanical parts that are part of Topsil’s machines or in other areas of the technology that have made us one of the small handful of companies in the world with the ability to grow FZ silicon.
There are many really exciting opportunities in 3D printing and we got a taste of that when Marianne Heidam and Steffen Schmidt from Danish AM Hub stopped by Silicon Road, to talk about what they can offer, with their expertise and many connections in the world of Additive Manufacturing that more and more people are opening their eyes to these years.
