TAPPING THE POTENTIAL

Once again, the Danish Quantum Community flagship event QID – Quantum Industry Day 2026 brought together leading players from research, industry, and technology development to explore the latest advances in quantum technology and its commercial potential.

The event emphasized much of the ongoing collaboration, innovation, and the scaling of practical quantum solutions, but it is also increasingly clear that while Europe and Denmark are doing world class quantum research, we are lacking i our ability to commercialize the results and turn them into job creating businesses before somebody else beats us to it.
If the goose is to grow up and start laying some golden eggs, it needs love and nurturing during infancy _and_ adolescence.

Topsil participated as an active industry partner. Our ambition is to support the rapidly evolving industry with the best quantum enabling material solutions. With our proven and superior intrinsic silicon, tailormade for quantum technology, we strive to be worthy of our position in this extremely demanding value chain.

Following the Keynote speech by Peter Krogstrup from NNF Quantum Computing Programme (NQCP) and Quantum Foundry Copenhagen, our CTO Sune Bro Duun took part in a panel, moderated by Karen Guldbæk Schmidt, about what success even means at various levels of scaling in this global quantum Klondike, together with Mark Nicholas Jones from Molecular Quantum Solutions, Hans Jayatissa from GlobalConnect and Hans Stærkind from the highly interesting startup Magnolia Quantum Sensing.

Thanks to the organizers for giving us yet another opportunity to meet up with all these fierce, fun and clever people.
Kristine Helen Falgren, Nikolaj Thomas Zinner, Sofie Marie Fuglsang Burkal, Victoria Winther and everyone else too – the list is long.
