Today we celebrate one of Topsil’s absolute veterans
Leif Jensen – 40 years working for Topsil
During that time, Leif has seen it all: the ups, the downs, the challenges, the victories – and he has himself been instrumental in shaping the company into what it is today, not least on the technical side of things. This long career was launched by constructing some of those ultra-precise measurement tools that has ensured repeatable product quality for many years. Later on, Leif headed the iconic R&D department of Topsil and today he fills the role of Senior Silicon Scientist in our FAE team, helping customers and co-workers alike understand the numerous and sometimes hard-to-comprehend subjects around the semiconductor business. There is a deep well of accumulated knowledge to draw from and you’d be hard pressed to find this level of expertise across such a broad range of topics located in any single person anywhere in the industry.
Leif is also a beloved colleague at the company, always keeping an open door, not only willing to share knowledge with anyone in need, but equally prepared to tell some immensely entertaining stories from back in the days, where the industry was a bit more Wild West – perhaps even Klondike-ish – compared to the control-chart dominated production regimes of today.
Thank you for your invaluable presence and work for so many years, Leif – we all hope you’ll keep your door open and the stories coming in the future as well.
