At Topsil, we have started collecting used workwear for recycling. In collaboration with Mascot International A/S and NewRetex A/S, we have started a TAKE-BACK solution, where we give the worn-out textiles the opportunity to be included in new clothing production.
Our used workwear is sent to New Retex, which through their automated sorting system divides the clothes into fractions according to the fiber composition of the garment. New Retex handles the shredding of certain fractions itself and develops new raw materials for textiles.
It is a good and relevant small project and we are continuously looking for more inspiration for sustainable initiatives like this.
