That fact is all too often forgotten when talking about semiconductors – where most of the attention is almost always focused on the tiny chips that are to be used in PCs and mobile phones from well-known foreign brand manufacturers.
Forgotten will be especially the type of semiconductors that are everywhere in our wind turbines, electric cars, industrial equipment, medical technology, electricity supply networks and many other places that are essential for socially important technology to work – and for the green transition with extensive electrification to be as efficient as possible. In addition, you rarely think of the rest of the huge supply chain that makes chip production possible. A supply chain that – for better or worse – is global.
Therefore, it is a pleasure when you are visited by people who are aware that here in Denmark we actually have companies with expertise in critical parts of this complex food chain. On Tuesday, it was DI – Digital who, with a visit to us at Siliciumvej, confirms our belief that there is a shift in awareness about semiconductors in Denmark.
Thank you for visiting here – with a great wish for continued dialogue
