Representatives from the Danish branch of IBM, one of the world’s oldest, largest and most recognizable technology companies, paid a visit to the Topsil site at Silicon road.
The visit included a site tour and some very interesting talks about the current and future state of Quantum research as well as the quantum ecosystem, where Topsil also has a presence.
Today, IBM is at the very forefront of the race to develop quantum computers that will unlock many new possibilities for humankind. It is hard to overestimate the potential of this technology for nearly every aspect of our lives and for that reason, a huge amount of funding is channeled into Quantum research these days.
Denmark is among the top countries of the world when it comes to expertise within the quantum field (pun intended) – and we need to actively support those who wants to build new industries on this foundation. An international race is on and the big winners will be the ones with the best supporting team.
