WILL THE CIRCLE SOON BE COMPLETE?

A new player is materializing in one of the most critical European supply chains. A company named RESiLICON, committed to produce ultrapure polysilicon in a sustainable way.
Now, this is one idea we can get behind in Topsil, seeing as polysilicon is the main source of feed material in our own production of ultrapure monocrystalline FZ silicon for Power Semiconductors, Detectors and Quantum technology.

Today, we had the great pleasure of receiving Carl J. van Vugt Luning and Joost van der Wal from the management team of RESiLICON for discussions about future prospects in a geopolitical landscape where we need to think in terms of security of supply within Europe.

It is an enticing thought to imagine that perhaps, for the first time, sustainable power from windmills could be producing polysilicon that goes into FZ silicon, melted by solar power, that again goes into production of power modules for the windmills.

Thank you RESiLICON – and until next time.
